MONKEY by Raine
Have you ever seen a monkey?
It hides amongst the trees
Swings from branch to branch
Pulls another's tail
Grabs other's meal
Have you ever had a monkey pet?
They are the worst pets you can ever have
They steal, they mock, they play
Things missing? it is they!
In their eyes, gentle and true
There is love and deepest adoration
For the rabbit that sits quietly
Watching monkey antics, monkey tactis
Amused
I am not, says ms rabbit for
I am gonna to turn my back
At you, at your monkey antics,
Your monkey tactics
Amused she is not?
But it was all for her, was it not?
I will now go away and sit quietly
By my monkey self, and hope Ms rabbit notices me.

SILENCE by Raine
The minds of women
the emanating silence
Fascinates me
The silence
is deafening
Except for the echoes
The echoes
inform of newbies
The echoes
provide sustenance
for an otherwise
cold silence
Outside,
they speak louder than us
They drown us,
Outside, they call us names
They speak louder than us
Can we blame them?
The
silence is piercing
We want so much for them to know we exist To understand
We are a part of nature's creation
We want them to undertake the
oath of mankind
To treat all human beings with equal respect
To all their accusations
We have no reply.
Because, we are
silence, itself.
